This renovation and expansion of the existing football stadium removed a number of substandard seating sections, increased the seating capacity from approximately 17,000 to 22,000 seats, and lowered the field to provide improved sightlines for the entire stadium within a construction cost of $3 million.

The construction included upgraded toilet, concession, first aid, ticketing and other spectator service facilities, a President's Hospitality Suite, coaches' boxes, and a new press box and camera facilities. In addition, a new athletic administration facility with classrooms and meeting facilities was planned for the end of the stadium for a later phase of construction.

The project was completed by Kenneth M. Betsch, AIA, while a Managing Principal for Odell Associates, Inc.
